Seth Bodnar Slams Beef Import Plan: “Outrageous Attack on Montana Ranchers”
MISSOULA, MT — Independent candidate for U.S. Senate Seth Bodnar today released a statement blasting the decision by Kurt Alme’s DC Party Bosses to flood the U.S. beef market with over 660 million pounds of foreign beef:
“Flooding the market with 660 million pounds of foreign beef with no guarantee of lower prices for consumers is an outrageous attack on Montana ranchers by Washington, DC. Montanans are already paying more at the grocery store, and they deserve a real plan to lower costs instead of political theater at the expense of Montana’s biggest industry.
“This is the Broken System at its worst. It’s the same Broken System that owns Kurt Alme, which is why he won’t do a lick to stand up to Washington, even when it threatens to put even more of our ranchers out of business. Unlike Kurt Alme, I’m not afraid of DC Party Bosses. I’ll go to D.C. and fight to lower costs for Montana producers and families, and I’ll stand up to anyone who gets in the way, no matter which party is in charge.”
Seth Bodnar is a Green Beret, business leader, and former president of the University of Montana running for the U.S. Senate to be an independent voice for Montana.
