Reproductive Freedom for All Endorses Independent Seth Bodnar for U.S. Senate in Montana

MISSOULA, MT — Reproductive Freedom for All, one of the nation's largest reproductive rights advocacy organizations, today endorsed former Green Beret and Independent candidate for U.S. Senate Seth Bodnar.

“Seth Bodnar has centered his campaign on keeping the government out of people’s personal decisions, and we are proud to endorse him to represent Montana in the U.S. Senate,” said Reproductive Freedom for All President and CEO Mini Timmaraju. “Montana voters decisively passed protections for abortion in 2024, and we know Seth will uphold their will and defend those rights.”

Reproductive Freedom for All joins Planned Parenthood Action Fund in backing Bodnar’s campaign. Bodnar has said he will support codifying Roe v. Wade into federal law, defend the right Montana voters wrote into their own constitution through CI-128, and protect access to contraception and IVF.

“As a Green Beret, I fought to protect and defend our freedoms, and that includes reproductive freedom. As Montana’s Independent voice in the U.S. Senate, I’ll work every day to keep the government out of Montanans’ doctor’s offices and exam rooms, because the decisions made there belong to Montanans, not to a politician in D.C.,” said Bodnar. “Montanans made their decision clear when an overwhelming majority of us voted to protect this right in our own constitution, and I’m honored to have the endorsement of Reproductive Freedom for All.”

Seth Bodnar is a Green Beret, business leader, and former president of the University of Montana running for the U.S. Senate to be an independent voice for Montana. Seth is guided by a lifelong commitment to duty, honor, and country. He graduated first in his class at West Point and served multiple overseas deployments, leading soldiers in the 101st Airborne Division and the 1st Special Forces Group, and serving as a special advisor to the commanding general in Iraq. After his military service and a successful career in business, Seth spent the last eight years leading the University of Montana. Under his leadership, the university achieved record high graduation rates, doubled research funding, launched the largest infrastructure renewal in campus history, restored financial stability, and was named the #1 military-friendly university in the country. Raised by two public school teachers, he believes leadership is about service, not party loyalty. Seth and his wife, a fifth-generation Montanan, are raising their three children in Montana.
