Montana AFL-CIO Endorses Independent Seth Bodnar for U.S. Senate

MISSOULA, MT — The Montana AFL-CIO, the state's largest labor federation, today endorsed Independent Seth Bodnar for U.S. Senate in Montana. The endorsement reflects Bodnar's commitment to standing up for working Montanans by defending the right to organize, expanding apprenticeships and workforce training, insisting that Montana jobs go to Montana workers, and lowering the cost of housing, healthcare, and groceries for working families.

"Our state was forged by the grit and hard work of Montana workers, not special interests. They deserve a senator who answers to them, not to party bosses or out-of-state corporations," said Bodnar. "I'll always defend the right to organize, fight to make sure good-paying jobs and big projects in this state are built by Montana workers, and I will put working families ahead of the special interests that have a grip on both parties and on Washington, DC. I'm incredibly proud to have the Montana AFL-CIO standing with us, their endorsement is a powerful testament to the growing, cross-partisan momentum of this campaign to bring real, independent leadership to the U.S. Senate."

Seth Bodnar is a Green Beret, business leader, and former president of the University of Montana running for the U.S. Senate to be an independent voice for Montana. Seth is guided by a lifelong commitment to duty, honor, and country. He graduated first in his class at West Point and served multiple overseas deployments, leading soldiers in the 101st Airborne Division and the 1st Special Forces Group, and serving as a special advisor to the commanding general in Iraq. After his military service and a successful career in business, Seth spent the last eight years leading the University of Montana. Under his leadership, the university achieved record high graduation rates, doubled research funding, launched the largest infrastructure renewal in campus history, restored financial stability, and was named the #1 military-friendly university in the country. Raised by two public school teachers, he believes leadership is about service, not party loyalty. Seth and his wife, a fifth-generation Montanan, are raising their three children in Montana.
