Seth Bodnar for Montana | Independent U.S. Senate Candidate

PRESS RELEASE

Bodnar Campaign Raises Nearly $1.9 Million in Q2, Building on Grassroots Coalition Momentum

MISSOULA, MT — Seth Bodnar's Independent campaign for U.S. Senate announced today that it raised $1,860,484.79 in the second quarter of 2026, building on the momentum of a first-quarter haul of nearly $1.4 million that outpaced every other candidate in the race combined. Bodnar has now raised more than $3.2 million since launching his campaign in March, with fundraising accelerating each quarter as more Montanans join the movement.

"Montanans are done waiting for Washington to fix a system that isn't built for them," said Seth Bodnar. "They're not funding a party; they're joining a movement to take our state back from a rigged Washington system. Career DC politicians and national party bosses have had their chance and blown it, and this campaign belongs to the Montanans who are ready to fix it."

Montanans from 46 of the state's 56 counties personally chipped in to fuel the campaign's second quarter, a continuation of the same grassroots energy that built a coalition of nearly 30,000 Montanans across 52 counties to power Seth's signature drive and earn his place on the ballot.

The fundraising momentum comes alongside a growing coalition of cross-partisan support, including endorsements from former Democratic Senators Jon Tester and Max Baucus, former Republican Governor Marc Racicot, former Republican Congressman Adam Kinzinger, Montana Conservation Voters, the League of Conservation Voters Action Fund, Montana AFL-CIO, and End Citizens United.

Seth Bodnar is a Green Beret, business leader, and former president of the University of Montana running for the U.S. Senate to be an independent voice for Montana. Seth is guided by a lifelong commitment to duty, honor, and country. He graduated first in his class at West Point and served multiple overseas deployments, leading soldiers in the 101st Airborne Division and the 1st Special Forces Group, and serving as a special advisor to the commanding general in Iraq. After his military service and a successful career in business, Seth spent the last eight years leading the University of Montana. Under his leadership, the university achieved record high graduation rates, doubled research funding, launched the largest infrastructure renewal in campus history, restored financial stability, and was named the #1 military-friendly university in the country. Raised by two public school teachers, he believes leadership is about service, not party loyalty. Seth and his wife, a fifth-generation Montanan, are raising their three children in Montana.
