WHAT SETH
STANDS FOR

BACKGROUND

Seth is the son of public school teachers. At 18 years old, he raised his right hand at West Point and swore an oath to support and defend the Constitution of the United States, not one political party or the other.

Seth served in combat as a platoon leader in the 101st Airborne Division in Iraq. He became a Green Beret and commanded a Special Forces detachment on deployments around the world. He later returned to Iraq as a special assistant to the Commanding General.

Seth is also a businessman and served 8 years as the President of the University of Montana, where he delivered record high retention and graduation rates.

MESSAGE

Our political system is broken and neither national party is fighting for Montana. Both are too busy waging partisan warfare and answering to D.C. party bosses. Seth believes Montanans deserve an Independent senator who shows up, answers only to Montanans, and gets things done. This election gives Montanans a choice to reject the broken system and send a clear message: Montana comes before party.

Voters should hear Seth’s biography and top priorities.

Make the Montana way of life a reality again

  • Lower costs for working Montana families by fighting tariffs and ending the Iran War that are driving up prices.

  • Protect Montana’s public lands and keep them in public hands for future generations.

  • Put Montanans in charge of data center development by opposing projects that raise utility rates, threaten our water, or move forward without meaningful local input and approval.

Reform Our Broken Political System

  • Ban members of Congress from trading individual stocks so public service can’t be used for personal profit.

  • Reject corporate PAC money

  • Enact term limits for members of Congress so Washington doesn’t become a permanent career.

  • Refuse to caucus with either party. Seth believes Montana deserves a Senator who isn’t afraid of Donald Trump and doesn’t answer to Chuck Schumer.

Restore Common Sense and Accountability

  • Secure the border and fix a broken immigration system that neither party has been willing to solve.

  • Restore fiscal responsibility by cutting waste, demanding accountability for taxpayer dollars, and getting serious about a national debt that both parties have helped create.

  • Defend the Constitution and the checks and balances that prevent any president or political party from having unchecked power.

All voters need to hear that Kurt Alme won’t put Montana ahead of Washington insiders. He’s their hand-picked candidate, and when Washington’s agenda hurts Montana, Alme doesn’t have the spine to stand up to them. His record already shows a troubling pattern: when Montana needed him to stand up, Alme failed to do so. Montanans shouldn’t have to protect themselves from criminals. Prosecutors are supposed to do that.

  • Alme cut a plea deal in 2020 that allowed a man who sexually abused a 6-year-old girl to serve less than a year in prison and avoid being registered as a sex offender.

  • During Alme’s first stint as U.S. Attorney, he failed to prosecute between 70 and 79 percent of sexual abuse cases (including aggravated sex abuse). In both 2018 and 2020, Alme declined to prosecute every single sex abuse case that passed through his office.

  • Alme also declined to prosecute nearly half of the cases related to Project Safe Childhood, an initiative launched in 2006 to combat child exploitation. Crimes that fall under the Project Safe Childhood umbrella include child pornography, online enticement of children for sexual purposes, commercial sexual exploitation of children, and child sex tourism.

  • Alme let a pharmacy selling fake cancer drugs off easy. As U.S. Attorney, he signed off on a plea deal for an online pharmacy that imported fake cancer drugs into the United States. The company got fines and probation, a.punishment advocates called a “slap on the wrist” and an “insult.” While advocates called for tougher consequences, including prison time for the company’s founder, Alme’s response was to warn consumers to be more careful when buying drugs online.

Democratic voters need to hear that Alani Bankhead holds positions that are out of touch with Democratic values.

  • While Democrats campaigned against Trump, Bankhead’s burner Facebook account showed her in a shirt endorsing Kanye West, seventeen months after his racist, antisemitic rants cost him his corporate deals.

  • During a December 2025 episode of her podcast, Bankhead told listeners, “If you live in America…You can make as much or as little money as you want. So if you're poor right now, it's because you decided you wanted to be poor.”

  • Bankhead published a book and still collects royalties from a Christian Nationalist publishing house, and attended a church that bars women from the pulpit and holds anti-LGBTQ views.

  • Bankhead has received financial support from Republican dark money outside groups in an effort to deceive Democratic voters.
